CDM : Client

The client will have a number of responsibilities under the CDM regulations, these include:

  • appointing a competent designer and accepting their guidance and instruction in relation to health and safety issues
  • appointing a competent planning supervisor, possibly a member of the 'Association of Planning Supervisors'
  • appointing a competent principal contractor
  • work with all parties to ensure that health and safety issues are satisfactorily managed
  • review the health and safety plan.
